Tonya Windsor, PT, CMT (Co-Owner)

HandsOn_TonyaWinidsorTonya has been a licensed physical therapist since 2000. She first attended Ball State University before receiving her BS in Physical Therapy at the Indiana Purdue University of Indianapolis in 2000.Tonya has worked in a variety of settings including orthopedics, pediatrics, women’s health, aquatics, and sports physical therapy while focusing on manual therapy. She has a real passion for continued learning and growth, and loves to soak up new knowledge from continuing education courses.

Since 2003 she started training extensively with John F. Barnes, founder of Myofascial Release. She enjoys being an assistant instructor with him nationwide. Tonya also continues to take craniosacral therapy courses with Upledger Institute. She has also really enjoyed additional training in Functional Dry Needling with Kinetacore. Her other interests include yoga, biking, swimming, dancing, and playing with her three children and family.

Tonya and Heather founded Hands On Physical Therapy, LLC. in May 2008. Starting their own clinic allowed them to continue to treat each patient with a holistic approach using their manual skills. The team approach and one-on-one attention for a full hour was essential to help their patients reach their goals of attaining a pain free, active, vibrant lifestyle.

Heather Christlieb, PT, MTC, CLT (Co-Owner)

Heather was born in Fort Wayne and graduated from Physical therapy school at Indiana University in 2001. She got married in 1999 and has two children that keep her very busy with travel and school sports. In her free time, she enjoys time with her family, cooking/baking, reading, working out, and going on family vacations. Heather enjoys trying new things and learning anything that contributes to her journey.

Heather has been in outpatient orthopedic her entire career in many different roles and titles. In 2006 she received her manual therapy certification from St. Augustine University. For the majority of her career now, she has focused on manual therapy emphasising myofascial release. She has really enjoyed the “Hands-on” experience and healing touch that comes with a one-on-one session. In 2016 she received her certification in lymphedema(CLT). She treats anything from the head to the toes, pediatrics, women’s health, chronic pain, systemic diseases and problems, post-surgical, migraines, TMJ, and lymphedema.

What she loves most about her job is finding that missing piece to the puzzle that makes it all click and leads to a healthy and symmetrical system/body. The team approach at the clinic offers many perspectives and helps create the balance and direction needed to achieve this goal. “I would have the perfect job, if it weren’t for the paperwork.” “Everything happens for a reason. While staying positive I am always curious where the next path is going to take me.”

Angie Netterville, PTA, CMT

angieAngie received her associate’s degree in physical therapy in 1995 and immediately started working as a physical therapy assistant at an orthopedic outpatient clinic in southern Indiana where she worked for over 14 years.In 2003, Angie began training in Myofascial Release. Since that time, she has taken every course offered by John F. Barnes and is now considered an expert practitioner.

Angie feels MFR has made the biggest impact on her ability to help patients to heal and resume an active lifestyle. In addition to her physical therapy credentials, Angie is also a certified massage therapist and has experience with a diverse patient population. Angie joined the Hands On team in September of 2009. “I am grateful to be able to work one on one with each patient and give them the individual attention they deserve.”

Angie and her husband enjoy traveling, bicycling, concerts, wine tasting and time with family.

April Vachon, PTA

HandsOn_AprilVachonApril graduated with her associate’s degree in physical therapy in January of 2011. She began training in myofascial release under John F. Barnes, PT in July of 2011. She has been with Hands On Physical Therapy since August of 2011.She is very excited and eager to further her education in myofascial release. In her free time she enjoys swimming, reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Hillary Martin, PTA

hillaryHillary graduated from the University of Saint Francis with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 2013, and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services in 2014. She began her myofascial release training under John F. Barnes, PT when she joined the Hands On team in May 2014.

Originally from Bryan, Ohio, Hillary has lived in the Fort Wayne area since 2010.She is enjoying treating a diverse community and meeting wonderful patients that challenge her skills daily. She feels very blessed to have found her dream job practicing physical therapy that “just makes sense.”In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her fiancé, friends, and family.

Jessica Gross, PTA

In 2015, Jessica earned an associate’s degree in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Francis. She began working as an in-home therapist with pediatric patients (ages 0 to 3 years) until she gained employment at Hands On Physical Therapy in 2017. While working at Hands On Physical Therapy, Jessica is obtaining her bachelor’s degree at IPFW with a concentration on myofascial release.

Rachel Proctor, DP, DPT

Rachel Proctor earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Columbia University, where she completed advanced coursework in neurological rehabilitation and engaged in research utilizing ultrasound imaging to examine abdominal musculature in functional positions and activities. She treats patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and vestibular conditions. Rachel actively seeks out continuing education opportunities having completed courses in John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach, vestibular rehabilitation, and pelvic health. She is also a member of Medbridge and the American Physical Therapy Association which further facilitates her access to recent research and continuing education opportunities.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Rachel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University. As a Fort Wayne native, she participated in Fort Wayne Ballet productions and was a member of their student company throughout high school. Understanding each patient as a unique individual, she combines her background and training in evidence-based practice and dance to design treatment plans that help the patient achieve overall health and wellness.

Through the healing process, Rachel seeks to help patients understand and view the human body and experience as both science and art form.Rachel values continued learning and growth as a therapist with the talented team at Hands On Physical Therapy. She enjoys gardening, supporting the local dance and arts community, and spending time with family.
